"I felt connected right away"

I met the CEO of the charity BondedThruCancer, and I felt connected right away. I had been diagnosed with cancer myself, and also lost a sister to the disease. I felt she knew exactly how I felt, and she made herself very transparent as a CEO to contact me even if it was for a chat. Thanks Natasha Veerasawmy your my hero.

"Great support"

BondedThruCancer has been so supportive of me whilst my husband was diagnosed. We didn’t need the support of the Buddy, however we were given 2 VIP tickets to a comedy show that was well needed. When cancer came into our lives, we forgot about going out. BTC gave us a moment to not think about cancer, and laugh, laugh, and laugh so much we forgot about the cancer at the moment.

"just having someone to talk"

I was 25 at the time of my diagnosis of cancer in my lymph nodes. I lived in a hostile, and my family were back in India. This charity gave me the much needed support of just having someone to talk to through my diagnosis. I didn’t need a Buddy because I had my best friend, however If I needed to ask any questions I was able to call a Buddy. That was all I needed. Thanks BTC

"Amazing work, good job!"

When I lost my only son, and then I was diagnosed with cancer I found myself at the hospital alone and feeling very lost regarding support. I was told about this grass roots charity BondedThruCancer that had just started not long ago by a friend that followed them on social media. I contacted them and they helped me out so much by sign posting me to other organisations that were able to support my financial needs at that time that were most pressing in my life.

"Inspirational to me"

BondedThruCancer has been inspirational to me as I was not affected with cancer; however my friend’s mother had it. I listened to the CEO just always talk so positive on social media, and told my friend about her. She then told her mother, and her mother said she was able to relate to her because she was from the BAME community. Sometimes it’s just what it takes.

"I would highly recommend"

I went to my hospital appointments alone because I was also going through domestic violence. Even though I was diagnosed with breast cancer, it never stopped the abuse. I thank God I found this charity BondedThruCancer as I had someone to at least talk with on the visits to the hospital.
